Before the first use: The battery of the timesulin cap is protected by a plastic strip.
Remove the protective strip to activate the battery.
The stopwatch in the timesulin cap now flashes "00:00".

When you have injected your insulin, place the timesulin cap on the pen until it clicks into place. Timesulin starts counting down the seconds immediately:
Initially from one second (00:01) to one hour, i.e. 59 minutes and 59 seconds (59:59).
After one hour, the display switches to hours:minutes. It runs for a maximum of 99 hours and 59 minutes. An example: If 1 hour and 15 minutes have passed since your last insulin injection, Timesulin will display 01:15.
If you have not injected insulin for 100 hours, Timesulin stops timing.
Remember to remove the used needle after injection to prevent insulin from accidentally entering the Timesulin cap.

The Timesulin stopwatch will not reset to 00:00 until it is removed from the pen for more than 8 seconds. This allows you to briefly remove the cap at any time to check your current insulin level in the pen without resetting the stopwatch.
After each injection, before you put the cap on, check that the display flashes 00:00 to make sure that the stopwatch has reset. If the display shows 00:00, you can put the cap back on the pen until it locks into place and the time starts running again.
Battery Notes: The built-in battery of Timesulin has a minimum life of one year. If the sharpness of the stopwatch display decreases, this is a sign that the battery is getting weaker. You should then be able to use Timesulin for some time. When the battery runs out, the display goes out. The battery cannot be replaced.
