Yes, the swa eLadebox is suitable for fast, 3-phase charging. The prerequisite for this is that your electric car also supports 3-phase charging processes. It is therefore worth paying attention to the optional equipment options when configuring the vehicle (e.g. "Quick Charging Direct Current" for BMW i3).

Why do you have to register the swa eLadebox with your network operator before putting it into operation?

The network of a street or residential area has a certain capacity. This is usually generously calculated. If several households install charging boxes at short notice and want to charge their electric cars in the evening, bottlenecks can still occur.
